» Quotes :: Unused/Deleted Scenes

These quotes are all from the Republic Commando game, but for one reason or another, didn't make it into the final game. I found these all in the game's dialogue subtitles (if you have the PC version of the game, you can open the files called 'Subtitles_*.int' in the 'Gamedata/System' directory in Notepad), and I've listed some of the more interesting or amusing ones below.

Fixer: Accessing Anti-Air controls. Ooh, this is nice. I can do much better than just "offline." Separatist turrets now targeting... Separatist craft.
Scorch: Fixer, you're sick. I respect that.

Scorch: What the-- aw, that gunship took my kill! I do all the work, and some rocket jockey comes in and takes the glory.

[after seeing the jamming device on Geonosis... maybe?]
Scorch: I think we're gonna need a bigger squad.
Sev: Or bigger guns.

Clone Advisor: Delta Squad, your brothers in Theta Squad failed their objective. Scorch: What happened? Couldn't hack it?
Clone Advisor: Heavy casualties sustained watching YOUR back, Delta. So, I'm giving you their objective: Sabotage the droid factory.

Boss: I don't like that door; let's take it out.

[the first line of this is in, but I don't recall the others... pure Fixer though :)]
Fixer: Looks like they're slavers.
Boss: How can you tell?
Fixer: Most Trandos have a hyper-athletic physiology. But slavers get lazy. Comes from having lots of slaves to do things for you.
Boss: Fixer! You've done your research.

[ok, now I'm curious... swamp blurrgs in the game?]
Boss: Swamp Blurrg. Maybe it can find a way out.
Sev: Swamp Blurrgs don't count towards your kills, Boss.
Scorch: You mean I have to keep a separate blurrg count?

[this is on the RepCom website, but it seems to be from a ship crash on Kashyyyk that wasn't in the game]
Scorch: Rule 45, Sev: Any crash you can walk away from is a good one.

[this more than anything shows all the Deltas' personalities!]
Boss: We're headed up to the top, squad. Be prepared for anything.
Scorch: I'll take up any day. Down's always been bad for me.
Fixer: Do you ever stop talking, Six-Two?
Sev: Up, down, what's the difference? As long as we live and they die.

[on Kashyyyk]
Clone Advisor: Listen up, Commandos. You can-NOT allow the Separatists to gain a foothold here! The future of the Republic is at stake!
Boss: All right, we get the point. So, what do we have to work with? How many Republic units are on planet?
Clone Advisor: Besides you? None.
Scorch: Well that's just bloody wonderful.

[very end]
Boss: We'll come back for you, Sev. I promise.

Also, you may be interested in this blog entry of mine: Theta Squad in RepCom. I tried to put together a scenario of what the game would have been like had Darman's old squad (Theta Squad) made it into the game. If you read the comments, you can find out some background info about this plotline from the man himself Ryan Kaufman (writer and content supervisor for the game). It's very cool, so I'll just point you there. :)
